Sega in Talks to acquire Rovio (Andry Birds Creator)

Sega Corporation a Japanese multinational video game and entertainment company is in talks to acquire Rovio, the creators of Andry Birds. The cost of aqucision is said to be around $1billion dollars. The news was reported on Wall street Journal.

About Angry Birds

Angry Birds is a popular franchise that originated from a mobile game created by Rovio Entertainment. The game features a group of birds who seek revenge on green pigs that have stolen their eggs. The franchise has since expanded to include numerous sequels, spin-offs, merchandise, and even an animated film. It’s not very clear why Sega is buying Rovio but it will be great to see something new related to Angry Birds.
