Gaia is more of a procedural generation tool than a manual terrain creator. You can select the type of gameobjects, spawners that you want in your terrain and let Gaia do the placement for you. World creator does not have the same automated functionality as Gaia to apply textures to your terrains. The same goes for object spawning with world creator. You need to manually select where to spawn the objects. This is good for people who like to control even the smallest details in their terrain.
